Our Campaign

CAMPAIGN FOR PREVENTION OF SOCIAL VICES i.e SCHOOL BULLYING

Preventing school bullying involves fostering a positive school culture, promoting empathy, and implementing clear anti-bullying policies. Educating students, teachers, and parents about the harmful effects of bullying is crucial. Encouraging open communication and creating a supportive environment can deter bullying behavior. Regular monitoring and intervention by school staff help address incidents promptly, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

EARLY DETECTION AND TREATMENT OF MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DISORDERS

Early detention and treatment of mental and physical disorders are crucial for several reasons. Firstly, early identification allows for prompt intervention, preventing the condition from worsening. Early treatment can mitigate the impact on an individual’s overall well-being and functioning. Additionally, it may reduce long-term healthcare costs by addressing issues before they become more complex. Timely detection also facilitates better outcomes, improving the chances of successful recovery and minimizing potential complications. Overall, prioritizing early detection and treatment contributes to both individual and public health.

School based mental health prevention programs across Lagos state

Our School-based mental health prevention program involves implementing strategies and programs within educational settings to promote mental well-being and prevent mental health issues among students. These initiatives includes :
* Psychoeducation: Providing students with information about mental health, coping mechanisms, and stress management.
* Skill-building programs: Offering workshops or classes that teach emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, and resilience.
* Awareness campaigns: Raising awareness about mental health issues to reduce stigma and encourage open conversations.
* Crisis intervention: Establishing protocols and support systems for responding to immediate mental health concerns.
* Access to counseling services: Providing on-site counselors or collaborating with mental health professionals to offer support to students.
* Creating a supportive environment: Fostering a school culture that prioritizes inclusivity, empathy, and understanding to reduce stressors and promote positive mental health.

With these components, schools will contribute to a nurturing environment that supports the mental well-being of students, ultimately preventing the development or escalation of mental health issues.
